Place 72 – Day 344: Vancouver, BC – A New Coffee Spot

Relaxed Morning

We had a relaxed morning, waking up late and then had a pain au chocolat for breakfast each with some strawberries and banana.

We finished our breakfast and slowly got ready for the day.

We didn’t have much planned, but did have a few things to get done.

Shopping, Cleaning & Coffee

We went out and did the shop, which was pretty quick, and then we came home and did some cleaning and other chores around the apartment.

We then went out for a coffee, just across the street. We had been to this place before for food and it wasn’t too great, but this coffee was good!

Kim had an affogato and Curtis had a cappuccino.

Games & Breakfast For Dinner

We played a lot of games together, some of which were new, and w head a lot of fun!

We then realised we should probably eat, so we made dinner.

We had breakfast for dinner, which was apparently just what we wanted, and Curtis had bacon with his, which was very tasty!

We watched some TV and played more games for the rest of the evening and in general we just had a relaxed day.

Place 72 – Day 225: Vancouver, BC – Nice 3.5km Walk

3.5km Walk

We got up and had a relaxed morning, had some toasties for breakfast and watched a bit of TV and then we both got ready for the day.

We sat around and did absolutely nothing for a while and then went out for a walk.

We walked from our apartment to the science center, around it and back up and over the bridge.

Overall, this was a 3.5km walk which took us about 40 minutes.

It felt good but unfortunately no-one was giving the 6ft distance which was a bit irritating.

Need For Speed

We got back home and really wanted to play some need for speed so we did just that!

Time flew so fast and all of a sudden it was time for dinner.

We really wanted fried chicken with egg fried rice, so we made just that!

Chicken Egg Fried Rice

Kim butterflied the chicken and fried them in panko breadcrumbs and then fried them!

Unfortunately, the outside looked amazing but the inside wasn’t cooked, so we chucked them in the oven to cook the inside.

We fried up some veggies with rice we cooked earlier and some egg to make egg fried rice.

Bright

We watched the movie Bright with Will Smith.

We didn’t think it was going to be very good, due to the reviews, but we actually really enjoyed it!

We watched a little more TV and then headed to bed, ready to start another work week.

Place 49 – Day 344: Auckland – The First Proper Sunday in Weeks

We eventually woke up at 09:45, had some breakfast and chilled out.

We had a plan to meet some friends for lunch in a pub garden but the weather was terrible again so we postponed it until next week.

Due to this, our day was free!

At 13:00, Curtis sat and watched the Leafs game. As Curtis started to watch, Kim braved the weather and went to look in the English food shop to see if there were any pigs in blankets…There were not.

Kim stopped off to get some instant noodles each for lunch as well as to look for some cocktail sausages…Again, there were none.

Once Kim arrived home, we did absolutely nothing for the rest of the day…Exactly how a Sunday should be!

For dinner, we were going to have the remaining breaded chicken meatballs, but they just wouldn’t cook correctly so we gave up and had a beef brisket we had bought.

The beef brisket was delicious, but very peppery! We had this with kumara fries and asparagus.

After dinner it was time to watch some TV. We started with The Apprentice and then watched half of Blue Planet 2, but then wanted a change of mood so watched The Russell Howard Hour to finish the weekend.

Not many weeks remaining of work now!
