We were up at around 11:00 today, and we had a great breakfast! We had french toast and Kim had chocolate on hers and Curtis had cinnamon and maple syrup, and both had banana and strawberries. We watched some TV and then got ready for the day.We did very little during the day and then Kim went out to T&T, a mostly Asian supermarket, to find Vietnamese coffee and the items you need to make it!Unfortunately, Kim was unsuccessful with finding either of those things, so instead she went to Costco to get a few things.Kim got back and we started to get a little hungry, so Kim made dinner! We had roast vegetables, including mashed swede, carrots, potatoes, sweet potatoes, peas and more!We ate our food and watched some TV and then watched the film 1917 which we really enjoyed! We played some games and VR before heading to bed.

Place 72 – Day 238: Vancouver, BC – Lazy TV Time

We woke up a little earlier today, and then had some french toast with bananas and maple syrup for breakfast.

We watched some TV with breakfast and then got showered and ready for the day.

We were going to go for a drive, but we realised we couldn’t be bothered.

So what did we do?

We played some games, watched some more TV and played some mini sticks.

That was pretty much our day. Really, nothing interesting.

Kim made really tasty lemon and ginger chicken with coconut and jasmine rice, which was excellent!

We watched some more TV after dinner and then had a look at some houses in Norway because it’s fun!

Place 72 – Day 231: Vancouver, BC – Family Games & Long Drive

Lazy Morning

We had a lazy morning, as per usual on weekends, having breakfast, watching a bit of TV and relaxing.

Family Games

Once we got ready in the afternoon, we called Kim’s family and played some drawing games!

We used Skribbl.io to go against each other, having to draw whatever item we were given and everyone had to guess.

We had good fun for around an hour doing this and then they went to sleep so we said goodbye.

We chilled out for an hour or two more after this and then went for a drive!

Long Drive

We just wanted to get out but didn’t want to contend with other people, so we went for a drive.

We ended up drive for a while and got to an affluent area with a lot of horse stables and the such.

We turned around and just started driving in the general direction of home and overall the drive took us 1.5 hours once we got back.

It wasn’t as nice as going out for a walk, but we didn’t have to worry about physical distancing!

Films, Mini Sticks & Games

Our evening consisted of watching TV, a film (hotel Transylvania 2, which we think we may have actually seen before!) And then playing some mini sticks!

After Kim won the mini sticks game, which was incredibly fun and competitive, we played a bit of Need For Speed before browsing some houses in Norway whilst drinking wine, because why not?

Place 72 – Day 218: Vancouver, BC – Self Isolation Sunday

Self Isolation Sunday

We had an incredibly lazy day today, which is the correct way to self isolate!

We did absolutely nothing, other than having breakfast and showering, until about 16:00.

We went out briefly just to head to the shop, but that was really the extent of our day!

We had cheese and wine for dinner whilst we watched Spiderman: Homecoming, which was fine.

Kim had a chat with a friend for a bit in the late evening and then did some work that she wanted to get done before work starts again tomorrow.

We didn’t do too much else for the evening, but then had to go to bed as we’re back to doing work tomorrow, though from home, of course.

Place 72 – Day 165: Vancouver, BC – Booking & Planning!

Trip Planning

We had a bit of a lay in which was excellent and exactly what we needed.

We had homemade egg and cheese muffins for breakfast and then we got some things booked.

We have a small weekend trip to come in February, so we had to book a ferry for that, so we got that booked, and then we have a couple of trips coming in the months after that, so we had to book those up.

We called Kim’s parents to speak with them briefly about the plans for the trip as we’re going with them.

We then booked flights for that, so that’s productive!

Coffee & Shopping

We went up to Starbucks and had a coffee before tackling the shopping.

We didn’t have much to buy, but it was quite a few heavy things.

We had to queue for a while in the supermarket and the queue was also very, very long!

We eventually got out of there and came back home, where we did some laundry and a bit more research into places to visit.

Sausage & Mash

We had sausage and mash for dinner! Curtis had pork sausages and Kim had chicken sausages.

We ate that and continued our fairly lazy day into the evening.

Place 72 – Day 168: Vancouver,BC – Delivery Drama!

We Are Lazy

We woke up fairly late today, but we have had a busy couple of weeks!

We watched some TV, mostly to test our new sofa, of course.

Kim went out for an appointment which took a while, and that was about all we did for the day, other than a little research for a few things and some laundry/tidying.

Delivery Drama

We discussed having an Indian curry for dinner soon and today seemed the perfect time to have one!

We logged onto SkipTheDishes for the first time to order one.

We ordered one and had to wait around 45 minutes before it was meant to be delivered…though it wasn’t!

We waited for it to arrive and coke tracker even said it had been delivered, but it was nowhere to be seen.

We contacted SkipTheDishes, which took ages, and they finally gave us a refund.

We were still crazy hungry and wanting an Indian, so we ordered it (again!) and picked it up.

Curry!

It was excellent food. Kim had a medium Korma and Curtis had a Tikka Masala. We also got popodoms and naan bread along with coconut rice.

All of it was terrific.

We watched the first episode of World On Fire followed by Vikings and then sleep!

Place 72 – Day 112: Vancouver, BC – Very Little Movement

Lazy Half A Day

We spent the first half of our day doing nothing at all.

We watched a few videos and we did get a little bit of admin done that we needed to do but the majority was absolutely nothing.

Outside?

Getting out of the house was a good idea, so we walked up to Homesense to return a couple of items.

We got out of Homesense and went into Starbucks for some refreshment.

After our coffee, we went to the supermarket to get a few things for the week.

Evening Gaming

We came back home and played some games together, which was a fun change!

We got so engrossed that it became 20:00 all of a sudden and we thought we should probably make some dinner.

Dinner

We had chicken with potato wedges and broccoli with some Nando’s peri-peri sauce on the side. Nice and simple, yet covers all the bases.

We watched a bit of TV and then went to bed. Had the perfect relaxed day this weekend. It’s recouped our tiredness.

Place 72 – Day 64: Vancouver, BC – Movie Night

Lazy

We did very little for the start of the day.

Kim went out in the morning to get us a McDonald’s breakfast, but it wasn’t great.

We watched some TV whilst we ate and then just played some games for a couple of hours.

Shopping

We eventually got ready to go out and went up to HomeSense to buy something to put our spare linen in.

We found a nice create to put it all in as well as a few other things we needed.

We then went to Save On Foods to get a few more food items we needed and wanted.

Free Whiskey & Wine

When we got home, we watched some TV and then we went to the liquor store to get some wine.

We entered and there was a couple of free tasters. There was 2 white wines and 1 red wine, as well as 2 bourbon whiskeys.

After trying these, we went to find a bottle of red.

Dinner

We really wanted toasties for dinner, so we had those with a side of salad and then had a homemade brownie afterwards.

Movie Night

We watched the latest purge film as we hadn’t seen it yet…We thought it was actually pretty good, but we do love the series.

The First Purge

We finished watching this, watched a bit of Lucifer and played some games before heading to bed.

Place 72 – Day 15: Vancouver,BC – Much Needed Relax

No Breakfast Requires Shopping

We woke up a bit later than we have been and then realised that we had nothing for breakfast, so we needed to go shopping.

We got ready and then walked for 20 minutes to get to the supermarket.

We got breakfast cereal and a few snacks but got distracted my Starbucks on our way out, so grabbed a coffee too.

We got back home and had some breakfast whilst Curtis watched the Great Britain ice hockey game.

Laundry

We then needed to do laundry and where we are staying doesn’t have laundry, so we went to the laundromat opposite us and got it washed there.

Unfortunately, we had no cash so we had to get some money out, meaning walking basically all the way back to where we went to the supermarket earlier.

We got back to the laundromat and put the wash on and then went back home and relaxed for the 30 minutes it was washing for.

We went back and got our laundry, put it in the dryer and waited the 45 minutes for that to finish…a highly exhilarating day!

Once that finished we brought it home and then made some dinner.

We had a similar thing to yesterday, but we had General Tsao sauce instead, which was a nice change.

Different TV

We have watched all of the latest episodes of our usual shows so had to watch some different shows.

We watched an episode of Gordon Ramsay and some different YouTube videos and then we watched the Fyre Festival documentary, which was interesting.

We followed that up by watching episode one of Chernobyl which was interesting for us as we have been there!

We then hit the hay, with no plans tomorrow.

Place 70 – Day 22: Victoria, BC – Free Chocolate Tasters & Korean Food

Morning

We had breakfast and then got ready for the day.

Kim spoke with her sister in the morning and then we watched some TV and videos.

Free Chocolates

We went downtown for a walk and to ask a question regarding our phone contract, too.

We went to a few chocolate shops to have a look around and also had some free chocolate tasters, which was a bonus!

We got a burger king for lunch as we wanted to see if we like it at all…Turns out, it was pretty nice.

We went back to the hotel and relaxed for a bit more before dinner.

Korean Chicken

We had some Korean chicken for dinner at a Korean pub.

We had sweet chilli chicken, creamy cheese corn & sweet and sour pork.

Our dinner was great, but a bit too much, so we took some leftovers with us.
