Place 72 – Day 434: Vancouver, BC – Ripped Jeans!

Curtis’ Day

Curtis had a meeting fairly early, which was a 1 on 1, and then he had a team meeting after that.

After that, he did tickets for most of the day and then after lunch he walked down to the office.

Once at the office, Curtis checked on a few things and then got some things together and went and waited down in the lobby for someone who was picking up a chair and a few other items.

Once the person picked up the items, Curtis walked back home.

For the rest of the afternoon, Curtis completed an offboard.

Kim’s Day

Kim popped out to get a couple of coffees in the morning and then joined Curtis for lunch.

In the afternoon Kim filled in one more form for her new job and then went out to buy some jeans! All of Kim jeans are on the brink of ripping so its time to replace. Maybe she will try to upcyle the jeans!

She drove to the shopping centre and went to H&M, but didn’t find anything she liked so Kim decided to try Levis. She found a couple of pairs that she liked so grabbed them and then headed home.

Evening

We had some chicken egg fried rice for dinner, which was delicious, and we cleaned the apartment after that, too.

We also figured out how to correctly ‘seal’ and clean our wok, as it had a weird smell to it.

Curtis had a hockey game tonight, so that’s where his evening ends, and Kim will be doing some relaxing whilst he is out.

Place 72 – Day 196: Vancouver, BC – Haircut & Successful Shopping!

Haircut

We were up around 09:30 and Curtis got ready to go to get to the barber for his haircut.

Curtis got there and the barber was his usual guy, so Curtis didn’t have to explain anything and the barber knew exactly what to do!

Curtis got his haircut perfectly and then met Kim to go for a coffee and doughnut!

Coffee & Doughnut

Curtis queued up whilst Kim held a table. The queue was huge!

Curtis had a cappuccino and Kim just had a chocolate doughnut whilst Curtis had a very long (and filling) doughnut which had chocolate icing and a vanilla cream filling.

Successful Shopping

We had a few things we needed to buy, so we popped to a few shops.

Kim got some bras from Victoria Secret and then we went on to American Eagle where Curtis got some jeans and Kim got a couple of things, too.

The last stop was H&M for some underwear, which Curtis got and Kim got some socks.

All things we needed and very successful!

Hockey x 2

We got back home and had a tuna sandwich each whilst watching some TV.

After that was done, Curtis watched the leafs game whilst Kim did some studying.

We finished with both activities and then Curtis sorted out his hockey stuff as he has a game tonight!

We had some food and then headed out to the rink.

Curtis’ hockey game starts at 22:00, so we’ll let you know how that goes tomorrow.

Place 70 – Day 6: Victoria,BC – New Jeans

When we woke up, the sun was shining through the blind right on us, which was a change from the recent weather! That being said, it was still 0°.

We had breakfast and then left to go to the uptown mall. To do so, we took the bus, which only took about 25 minutes.

Once we got there, the goal was to find a new wall plug adapter and some new jeans for each of us.

We found the plug right away, which was a result, and then we went looking for jeans.

We went to a few shops but couldn’t really find anything great for Kim, but Curtis did get some from H&M.

we then got tired and hungry, so stopped for some noodles at ‘The Noodle Box’. We had thought it would be a snack size, but it was huge!

We ate our ‘snack’ and went for more of a walk and tried to find more clothes shops, which we were unable to, so we went back to H&M and Kim got some jeans from there.

To treat ourselves for succeeding, we went to Starbucks and got a small hot chocolate each.

We caught the bus back to the city and went to the apartment to get a couple of places booked up for future endeavours.

We then walked down you the ice rink for another royals game!

This was a really good game, coming close at the end but the royals unfortunely lost.

We walked home and went straight to bed!
