Place 72 – Day 260: Vancouver, BC – Virtual Apartment Tour

Virtual Apartment Tour

We had a quick breakfast and then got ready for the day.

At 12:30, we had a virtual apartment tour with a really nice apartment.

This is done so that people can see if they’re interested and therefore limiting physical contact and people going outside, which is great.

We really liked the look and location of the apartment, so we are going to go and see it in person.

We finished up with that tour and then relaxed for a while.

We were meant to have an in person apartment viewing at 15:30, at least that is what we thought, but then at 1:20 the realtor told us he was no longer able to do it, but it was at 15:00! We felt very silly, but we have been able to reschedule.

We did very little for the rest of the day, just playing games, watching TV and having a couple of epic mini sticks battles!

We finished the night with our dinner, fajitas, and then cookies.

We watched the movie I, Tonya in the late evening.

Place 72 – Day 207: Vancouver, BC – Hot Tubbin’

Curtis’ Day

Curtis had a busy day, mostly doing an onboard for some that starts on Monday.

As well as that, Curtis setup a couple of laptops for people to upgrade from their current laptops.

Curtis dealt with a few tickets and had a call with a team member to discuss something that someone requested as he wasn’t sure the best way to do it.

That was pretty much Curtis’ day, busy but mostly just doing the same couple of things.

Kim’s Day

When Kim got in she finished moving some of the desks and draws from one part of the office to another and she had a chat with people in a department to get then to clear their stuff away too.

She then spent some time organising the health and safety meeting email and sending that out and then she organised for a handyman to come in to sort a few things around the office next week. The morning was full of small wins!

For lunch Kim ans her colleague went out to lunch and it was so nice! They had a great catch up and finalised a few things too.
After lunch Kim saved more invoices and did some research into office appliances.

Evening

We went to the shop on the way home and had to buy a couple of things both for the apartment and for dinner.

We got home and all of a sudden it was 19:00!

We made fajitas for dinner, with chicken, pepper & onion.

They were alright, but not massively filling.

We watched some TV and then both went to the hot tub!

We got back and watched a bit more TV before heading to bed.

Place 49 – Day 307: Auckland – Doctor Visit

Curtis’ Day;

Curtis was working from home today due to having the doctors right after his work time, meaning he wouldn’t get home in time otherwise.

Curtis’ morning was slow, so he did his usual admin and then did some training for pretty much the whole morning, with a few small cases to do in between.

After lunch, Curtis got a little busier, having the odd thing to do, but again, not a very busy day.

After work, Curtis drove to get Kim from her work so we could go to the doctor.

Both of us;

We got to the doctor and didn’t have to wait too long to go in.

Curtis was going to the doctor as he had an odd ear/jaw pain for the last week so wanted to get it checked. Luckily, the doctor couldn’t see anything bad with the ears, so thinks it may be more of a jaw issue so gave Curtis some jaw exercises to complete and see if that helps.

When we got home, Curtis made some of his excellent rice to go with our leftover fajita meat and sauce.

Once we ate we watched NCIS:LA and some other TV shows and then made lunch and went to bed. Crazy that it’s Wednesday tomorrow already!

Place 49 – Day 306: Auckland – A Walk for Chocolate & Fajitas

Curtis’ Day;

Curtis left early but due to people being back to work after the school holidays, so he got there at about 07:15.

All was well when Curtis got to work, and for most of the day, actually.

Curtis knew he had to take a PC back to a client, but other than that he didn’t have much to do.

Curtis ended up having a fairly busy day with new cases coming in, but it was a ‘good’ busy.

After lunch, Curtis had some more work to do and was busy right up until he left for the day.

Curtis was surprised when he left and there was no one on the roads and got home very quick!

Both of us;

Kim got home from work and we went right out for a walk. We walked to the shop to buy chocolate and the odd dinner related item. The weather was so nice we just had to go for a walk!

We got back from the walk and Kim made steak fajitas which were amazing as ever!

We then just watched TV and videos all evening and it was great to chill out.
