Place 72 – Day 896: Vancouver, BC – Our First Art

We woke up at 09:45 and Curtis had to go and meet our landlord outside quick to give them their mail that was delivered here.

We were pretty awake after that, so we got up and had some breakfast. We had some scrambled eggs on toast and relaxed until we spoke with Kim’s family for a while.

After we spoke with Kim’s family, we got ourselves ready and went out to Homesense, grabbing a coffee on the way.

We got ourselves a few more items for the apartment, most notably a large canvas of a nice art piece! We will need to hang it, then we will show a picture then, but we think it’s going to look great.

Kim then went out to a few more shops to get a few other items and well as return a few things.

Whilst Kim was our doing this, Curtis watched hockey.

We ordered Thai food for dinner as we really fancied it after we saw it in a TV show yesterday. The food was pretty good!

We ate dinner and then for the remainder of the evening we watched TV.

Place 72 – Day 217: Vancouver, BC – Lynn Valley Walk, Again

Late Wake Up

We slept in a bit, but neither of us had a very good sleep anyway, so it was quite nice to sleep in.

We got up around 11:30 and had some scrambled eggs on toast for breakfast.

We both got showered and ready for the day and then we went out!

Lynn Valley Walk

We drove 30 minutes up to Lynn Valley and went for a walk around there.

When we arrived, there was very little parking, but we were able to find some eventually!

The weather was perfect for a walk – not too hot and not too cold, with sunshine so it was perfect!

We walked around for about 2 hours in total, even through snow and ice, too!

Our walk back was a bit quicker but we really enjoyed our walk and definitely needed it.

Blackened Chicken Salad

We got home and were pretty tired from our walk, but we did feel great!

Kim made blackened chicken Mexican salad, with black beans, sweetcorn, lime tortilla chips and Nando’s Chicken!

This food was SO GOOD!

We watched a bit of TV and ended up sleeping fairly early as we were tired.

Place 49 – Day 312: Auckland – Metal Can Be Sharp

Curtis’ Day;

Curtis got to work at 07:10 and got right to it. He wanted to clear as many of his cases from yesterday as possible.

Curtis was pretty successful at this and has done it all by around 10:00.

After this, Curtis had some users to setup on a PC which took all day and still didn’t get completed as other cases kept trickling in.

Curtis planned to have lunch at 12:00 and was successful with this until 12:20 when he had to have an urgent remote session which took the rest of his lunch time! Due to this, he left the office at 15:30 to make up for it.

During the day, Curtis also somehow managed to cut his finger on the metal part of the cutlery draw at work…which was smart!

Both of us;

When we were both home, we relaxed for a bit and then we had leftovers from yesterday’s pasta for dinner. we watched a few videos and then Kim went out to the chocolate cafe with Tabitha for a catch up!

This time last year!
