Place 72 – Day 404: Vancouver, BC – New Job Progress!

Curtis’ Day

As it seems to be with every Monday at the moment, the day was very busy!

Curtis did some tickets in the morning and then had his weekly team meeting which was positive.

After that meeting, there was another urgent meeting which was related to a possible malware threat on a user’s machine, and this chat went on for about 30 minutes.

After this, Curtis had another meeting with regards to a new project that was starting and he had some actions to take away from that.

Curtis then had lunch and was meant to have meeting after but one of the people forgot about the meeting so Curtis and a colleague had a chat instead.

After that, there was an urgent issue with a main system that the entire company uses, though luckily it was an issue on Microsoft’s end and not Curtis’ company, so not much could be done, other than letting people know.

Kim’s Day

Kim had breakfast and watched a but of TV before starting to look and save some more jobs. A friend recommended a few companies so Kim checked those out and saved a few roles that might work for her.

Then Kim started to write up a cover letter for a new style of role she is interested in applying for. She was struggling with it, but once she started matching up similarities from the role to her experience it all went a lot smoother.

In the afternoon Kim applied to a few of those roles, she would tailor each cover letter slightly for the specific job she was applying for and then move on to the next. Today she roughly applied to 10 roles that are very similar.

Tomorrow Kim will apply to more and maybe take an afternoon walk to the beach, why not!

Cleanin’

We did some cleaning after work…Laundry, the dishwasher, then vacuuming.

Kim went out to get some sour cream and then we had some dinner!

Kim made sweet chilli wedges with sour cream and a side ceasar salad.

We watched TV for the evening and that was about it.

This Time Last Year!
