Place 72 – Day 383: Vancouver, BC – Megadesk!

Curtis’ Day

Curtis did some tickets in the morning along with some admin.

After that, he had a team meeting to discuss a specific issue and then he did some work with regards to that.

After lunch, Curtis had another chat with his team about a few other issues and helped working on that too.

The afternoon was a little quiet but he got a few things completed.

Kim’s Day

Kim started her day by organising a few of the hoodie requests. Then she had to call UPS as she wasnt able to access her billing account, they walked Kim through how to make some changes and then it all worked perfectly. So Kim reuploaded the invoices she was missing and finally finished her expenses.

For the rest of the morning Kim worked on her presentation for the office layout she wanted to propose to her manager. She took photos of her prototype desk layout, the Megadesk, and added some information.

She then hosted a game time, played one game of connect four and then had to leave the call! She left everyone else with the website and how to set it up, so she hopes they continued playing!

After a chat with her colleague Kim decided to draw up a floorplan that shows how the desk layout would work across the whole office. She thinks she made it pretty well and close to scale. Then she updated her presentation and the wiki with some more information.

To finish the day Kim joined a team meeting where they went over communications that will be going out over the coming days and weeks. This is also where Kim put forward the Megadesk idea and it got approved! So now Kim and her colleague have a lot of work coming up just for this, but its a good and interesting challenge.

Evening

Kim went off to pole dancing once she got right home.

The classes today were great fun! In the first class Kim tried a few new moves. One she was able to get eventually and the other Kim wasnt so confident on. She tried it a few times, but has it logged as one she needs to work on a bit more. In the second class Kim struggled with the first half of the combo, but was really able to enjoy the second half. While she enjoyed the first few moves, she couldn’t quite figure them out!

Both classes were amazing and Kim is loving being back at pole!

Once Kim got back home, we had soy & lemon chicken which Curtis marinaded during the day.

We watched some TV and relaxed but didn’t have too much time as Kim got home a bit late after pole.

This Time Last Year!
