Curtis’ Day
Curtis did a lot of admin and tickets at the start of his day, but then had to pack up and head to the office!
The office is reopening with a lot of rules and restrictions as well as just a small number of people as of this week.
Curtis and his colleagues went in first to do the orientation and assist with some last few things around the office.
Curtis isn’t going back for a couple of weeks but wanted to help out.
It was a little strange for Curtis to be back in the office and everyone has to walk the same direction around the office which means it takes Curtis a long time to get anywhere!
Curtis did some more tickets and then had the orientation, learning what everyone can and cannot do and all the rules.
Curtis then helped fill some bottles with sanitizer, each person gets their own, and then he had a team meeting.
After the team meeting, Curtis cleaned the coffee urns which had coffee in them since everyone left…so you can imagine how disgusting they were!
After cleaning that, Curtis had some lunch and ordered himself something exciting!
After lunch, Curtis helped put up some tape around the office to shut areas. He then went to each desk that will not be occupied and put a ‘do not take’ sticker on each monitor just to make sure they don’t go missing.
Curtis left the office around 16:30 and walked home.
Once Curtis got home, he emptied the dryer and then Kim got back so we went right over to our old apartment.
Kim’s Day
Kim spent most of her day in the office, before she went in she caught up on emails and messages.
Once she was in the office Kim collected a few things that needed to be sent out and got them all set up. She then arranged a FedEx pickup and started to move onto the next FedEx package that needed to be sent out. Kim went to print the documents from the first package and it wouldn’t work, so while she was arranging the second package she called FedEx to send over the paperwork she needed. After and hour and a half of calls, speaking to 3 people she was told they couldn’t help and she would have to start again. So she resubmit the form online and went through the whole process again. She finally had them packaged up and ready to go.
Kim had a quick walkround with a colleague to check what needed to be done in the office and then moved some furniture around.
After lunch Kim set up a game of cribbage, this time its the final! Once of the teams is undefeated so that will be exciting. She then spent the rest of the afternoon making plans for the rest of the week and moving more furniture around.
All The Admin
We met with our old landlord to get our deposit back, but also had a long chat about the state of the world and everything that happening.
After we did that, we went and did the shop. We got a decent amount of stuff and popped to Canadian Tire too.
Today was the first time we had been outside in 2 weeks, so it did actually feel a little strange.
We got home and unpacked the shopping and then had more leftovers for dinner.
After that, we watched some comedy and some other TV and then went to bed.
We were very tired today as we didn’t sleep too great.
