Curtis’ Day
Curtis had a pretty quiet morning, just having a team meeting and then doing a few things here and there.
In the afternoon, the tickets picked up and Curtis got some done, followed by a long team meeting to discuss the projects from the last two weeks.
Afte that meeting, it was happy hour time, so Curtis jumped onto the zoom call to have a chat.
Kim’s Day
Today Kim got ready and set up the weekly catch up call for the UK offices and when no one showed up for 15 minutes, she ended the call. Kim later found out that the UK had a bank holiday, which she knew about.
In the morning Kim spent a lot of her time on admin, reaching out to people, updating logs and setting up meetings.
Kim then got invited to a meeting and was told about a project she will be helping out with. After that meeting Kim had a quick call with her parents to wish her Mum a happy birthday. It was so great to speak with them!
At midday Kim hosted a games time for her department. She got to use her new Jackbox games and it went well, once she figured out how it all worked! After two games on there Kim joined the East Coast catch up, which mainly had west coast people on it. They had a great chat and then they played some more Jackbox. Kim used the call as a Guinea pig to get the audio from the game at just the right level.
After the games Kim spent a lot of her afternoon doing admin and then she hosted the West Coast weekend catch up. It was a small call, but a lot of fun!
We Got A New Apartment!
We finished work, bought renters insurance, and then walked down to the city.
We got to where we needed to be and met our new landlord again!
We went up to the apartment, got all the information and signed the contract.
We sent the money across but that took a while, but it did eventually go through!
We left the apartment and headed back home and we were hungry so we ordered food on the way home.
We got back and had our food, curry again, and it was spicy!
We had to do a few other things, like change over the utilities and probably buy a new sofa as ours is too large for the apartment.
