Rude Awakening!
We were woken, incredibly loudly, at 04:30 this morning by the fire alarm!
We rushed out of bed and outside.
For some reason, everyone took a very long time to get outside, which was a little worrying.
Sure enough, people started to leave and the sound was absolutely piercing!
It seemed to be a false alarm, which is also good and the inside alarms were turned off fairly quickly, but the outside was still going off.
Two fire trucks arrived and they calmly walked into the building and double checked, confirming that there was indeed no fire.
We were allowed back in, but the outside alarm was still going on! We fell asleep whilst it was going off, but it was off by the time we were up at 07:30.
Curtis’ Day
Curtis got to work and was right on answering questions regarding his project, but it was good to iron out some questions and answers with people.
This seemed to take up most of his day, but the rest was broken up with tickets as well as creating a guide for another thing he missed, which helped people a lot too.
Curtis assisted a colleague with some design work, because it interests him and he has a very procedural & analytical approach to things, so he hoped that would help them.
Curtis walked home fairly quick and watched the leafs game.
Kim’s Day
When Kim got in she collected up the last few pieces of fruit and put them in a glass bowl to make it more obvious that some is left.
Kim and her colleague sat down to talk over the holiday parties. Kim was given all the agreements, given an update on each venue and they agreed on the theme for all of the parties.
After the meeting 3 food deliveries arrived so Kim sorted them all out. The larger deliver had 4 whole extra orders, so Kim and her teammate had one, she gave one to a friend and another to an exec, no food goes to waste!
Kim then had some time to look at emails and catch up on some things. She also placed all the necessary orders for next week.
After catching up on stuff Kim went out to pick up some drinks for the afternoon. When she got back she set up the drinks and started playing a boardgame with some colleagues. It was great fun!
TV Catchup
We caught up on a lot of TV we had missed over the last few days! We watched NCIS:LA, some YouTube videos and the first episode of the new season of The Apprentice.
Curtis had a big lunch so only had a bagel for dinner and Kim had her pasta (that she took for lunch) for dinner.
We hope to get a much better, and complete, night sleep tonight!
