Curtis’ Day
Curtis got to work and welcomed a new colleague! This person was the person Curtis replaced, but he has come back!
A job opened up and he has slotted right back in, which is excellent.
Curtis spoke with him for a while, getting him back up to speed with what’s going on in the team and the company.
The rest of the day was pretty much meetings! Curtis had a bit of time to do other things, but at 13:00 there was a whole team meeting which was followed by a meeting the team and with another person which was very positive and useful!
After the two meetings, Curtis had lunch at 15:00! He went to Subway and grabbed a sub from there to eat.
After that, he finally got around to doing some tickets and helping people out, but he then left at 17:00.
Kim’s Day
When Kim got in today she started by catching up on the weekends emails and then finally made it around to reconciling one of the credit cards she had to do each month. Kim did take a break to sort out the fruit and milk where she realised that all of the milk she had from last week is now out of date so Kim will have to go and buy more tomorrow!
Kim managed to finish checking the first card in perfect timing to head out for lunch. Today Kim and her colleague had been invited to check out the changes to the local hotels menu and as always it was wonderful!
We love meeting up with this hotel and the food was incredible as always. They shared the sourdough bread for a starter and then everyone except Kim ordered the special fish and Kim ordered the Korean chicken bowl.
The weather recently has been pretty miserable so all of the ladies at lunch agreed that dessert was a good move too so everyone tried the chocolate mousse bar after Kim recommended it and they loved it! All washed down with teas and mochas, it was delicious and lovely! They then waddled back to the office, sufficiently stuffed.
When they got back Kim sorted a travel issue that had happened and then reconciled both of the other cards. She also had to call a courier as there was a charge that didn’t add up but Kim eventually got to the bottom of it and signed off on all the cards. She couldn’t have timed it better as she picked up a few emails and then headed home.
Jacket
We met together and went to H&M to start with, where Kim was looking for some shoes, which we didn’t find any she wanted.
We left there and went to SportChek where we were looking for a winter jacket for Curtis.
We were unsuccessful, but did remember when we got home that we had a 30% off token to use at the same store, so we will go to another one and use that when we can.
Child In The Road
We walked back home and on the way back, we saw something that could have been terrible!
We saw a lady turn her back on her child in a pram and it rolled into the road! Luckily, a cyclist was going past and grabbed it, but it could have been bad. Kim sprinted over when she saw it happen, but luckily nothing bad came from it.
Cleaning
We got home, popped to the shop and got a few things.
Curtis made the lunches and then vacuumed the apartment whilst Kim sorted the laundry.
We cleaned down the surfaces and vacuumed the cobwebs from the ceiling too!
We got all of that done and then made ourselves some delicious baked potatoes. Kim had tuna and Curtis had baked beans.
We watched some TV and YouTube and then off to bed it was.
