Curtis’ Day
Curtis had a video call with someone in the morning, around 11:00. He did that and was able to sort one of their two issues they were having!
After that, he did some tickets and got some admin done and then it was lunch time!
After lunch, Curtis imaged an old mac and then went for a drink in the kitchen area with some others for 30 minutes.
At 15:45, Curtis had to complete and offboard, which actually didn’t take that long luckily, so he went back had had a few drinks at the end of the day.
Kim’s Day
When Kim arrived she had a small amount of time before her first meeting so she caught up on a few things before heading in to the meeting.
The meeting was an informal way for some of the remote workers to get to know each other, the way this is done is by playing a game of 2 truths and 2 lie, then giving the people a chance to elaborate on the truths. It went really well even though it was only 2 remote people on the call along with Kim and her team mate calling from the office.
Kim spent the rest of the morning on her financial project which took a fair amount of time. We also had a small amount of catering arrive for a team meeting.
As part of the quarterly new hire, the company likes to hold a fun game over a lunch, so when the pizza arrived Kim helped set it up and also set things up for greeting bingo! It was such a fun way to get new hires to interact with other people in the company.
When it all wound down, Kim and a couple of other people took 5 to sit down and chill and it was great to have a good chat and catch up! Kim the cleared the room and headed back to her desk to put through some orders for food and office supplies.
After sorting out her orders Kim went out to pick up some wine and a bottle of each vodka and rum to make peoples mocktails into cocktails. This week Kim had planned a back to school friday afternoon drinks including a mocktail competition.
When she got back into the office, Kim organised a little more for the day long meetings that are happening next week by cleaning whiteboards and clearing up beind the front desk.
Kim then set up for the afternoon drinks, turning the large tall table into a bar style layout and putting all the other drinks on a different smaller table.
The mocktails and cocktails went great, the competition part fell through but it was still fun! After most people had left Kim cleared down the kitchen again and it reminded her of working in a pub again.
Kim then met Curtis on the way to her class in the evening to pick up her clothes. The class was so much fun this evening but it was a challenge too!
Late Work Day
Curtis got home and emptied the recycling and rubbish. He then emptied the dishwasher.
The xbox was unable to sign him in, so he had to go old school and watch YouTube videos all evening on the laptop.
Curtis walked down to Kim to give her exercise clothes as she was running very late at work.
