Curtis’ Day
Curtis did a lot of laptop related things today.
Curtis got a new Macbook that arrived and set that up for the user. Once that was setup, he had a few tickets to do and then had a meeting with someone in another department who wanted to understand how permissions worked on other platforms.
Curtis ate lunch and then was meant to have a meeting but it never happened.
Curtis got another laptop sorted and then spent an hour or so on a project to make a new wiki page for his team, which he got to work on.
At the end of the day, Curtis grabbed a beer but also needed to offboard someone, so he did that for the last hour and then walked to meet Kim.
Kim’s Day
For nost of the morning Kim soent her time putting through orders for for the next week to ensure most, if not all the catering, was sorted out.
Kim did have a plan for the day though. There were a few left over bananas at the beginning of the day so she peeled chopped and froze them ready to be made in to a sorbet.
Kim then went back to putting more orders through, like the regular weekly food order. She set that up and then prepared the cart for a quick and easy order again on Monday for the week Kim gets back.
She was then given some post so she organised thay and then popped out to FedEx to send it. After FedEx Kim then went to the liquor store to get stuff for this week and a couple of items for next weeks Friday drinks. Kim knows that getting stuff next week will be a pain, so she thought it would be easier to pick up more stuff this week and last week to ensure that next week is much easier for people.
When she got back Kim then had some lunch before trying to set up some afternoon ice cream and ice lollies. Once she set it all up she realised that the middle of the ice cream was still not set! So she popped it back in the freezer in a hope that it would freeze more and be set within an hour.
Kim then sent out a few emails to colleueges to outline what she had set up and things that were going on over next week.
It was then time to set up the Friday afternoon drinks, tie up the last couple of things and set out the not fully frozen sorbet.
Incredible Pizza
We walk past a terrific smelling and looking pizza place on the way home every day, so we had to try it out. We had no plans for dinner so stopped there and got a 14″ pizza to share.
We grabbed some wine to go with our pizza and walked the rest of the way back home.
Once we got back, we sunk into the sofa and watched some TV with our pizza and wine. We are both very tired this week, so we had a pretty early night!
