Curtis’ Day
Once Curtis arrived at work, it was non-stop from there.
He had a few cases from yesterday as well as some new ones from this morning and then he had someone walk over and mention that they are having wifi issues, so Curtis ended up spending a lot of the day investigating that.
Curtis had to source a new hard drive for a server and helped out with changing some processes.
At lunch, we both met together and got a free slice of pizza with a drink and a brownie! There is a pizza chain here that has that as a deal at the moment.
After lunch, Curtis had been messaged a few times and so had some stuff to do.
Whilst he was doing that, he wiped a Mac and started setting it up.
At 14:45, Curtis tested some of the in-house made software as if he was a user and then he got to give some feedback, which he thinks may help, which is good. He really enjoyed doing this and can’t wait to do it in the future, too.
Curtis spent the rest of the afternoon investigating the wifi issue and doing some admin before taking a bit of a break and having a beer with colleagues.
Curtis walked home on his own as Kim was at busy at work.
Kim’s Day
Kim got into work early and had some breakfast before starting her day.
Kim spent the morning tackling a few administrative tasks before spending some time playing around with the new aspect of the project so that she is able to be of use next week when people have questions.
When she got back from lunch Kim then went to a couple of shops to set up for the Friday afternoon drinks! Just grabbing a few drinks and some snacks for people to enjoy.
She spent the afternoon working on her project, holding a meeting with IT, doing admin and creating a mini tutorial video to help people navigate things come Monday. There is a section of the project that will take place over the weekend so there were a few loose ends to tie up and thinks to prepare for the coming weeks.
Kim was so engrossed and focused on getting it all sorted she completely missed stopping for Friday drinks at 4! She managed to finish the final task at exactly 5, then had to send a couple of emails and was then finally able to head to the kitchen for a well deserved sit down, wine and chat.
Whiskey & Toasties
We just chilled out this evening, playing games and watching TV shows.
Kim was kind enough to buy some whiskey, so we cracked that open too!
