IKEA
We left the house around 13:00 to go to IKEA.
As we are moving into our place in the next couple of weeks, we need to start scouting or buying furniture, as it will be unfurnished. The most important item is a bed.
We took 2 buses to get to IKEA, all-in-all it was about a 40 minute trip.
The most important thing to do first was to get coffee. Luckily there was a Starbucks right by IKEA, so we got a drink from there. Curtis got an iced cappucino with cloud foam, which was something different but it was great!
We went into IKEA which seemed a little smaller than the IKEA stores we usually go to.
We started with looking at anything that around the first area, though there was nothing specific we were looking for there.
We looked at some desks and chairs, a table and chairs, sofas (not that we need one), beds and mattresses.
We got photos of what we wanted and we are now certain, which is great!
We got a few ideas about smaller items too, such as kitchen utensils and bathmats.
Meatballs
The most important thing about IKEA is of course the meatballs, so we rewarded ourself with them after doing some shopping.
These IKEA meatballs were pretty good actually, and we even shared a DAIM cake.
Buses
We left IKEA after purchasing some delicious Swedish chocolate and jumped on a bus.
The first bus was super busy but the second was luckily empty.
We came home and looked up how we will get things back from IKEA when we buy them, deciding if we will get a UHAUL or get IKEA to deliver them.
Chillin’
We watched some TV and ate some snacks in the evening.
We also read the bylaws for our apartment which was 21 pages!
Kim has a further interview on Thursday this week which she found out today and Curtis has had a promising email which he is waiting to hear back about.
