We attempted to wake up earlier today, which we did, but not quite early enough! We planned to be up by 10:30, but were up by about 11:00, so we’re getting closer!
We started the day with some delicious fruit toast and a coffee and then we got ready and walked down to the city to a bank. We want to setup a bank account, so we went to a bank to ask for one. Unfortunely, as we don’t yet have our work visas, we cannot set one up.
We went to a few shops, including Sportchek, to look at the hockey gear, because why not.
We grabbed a slice of pizza from somewhere that Kim went with Abbie about 6 years ago, and it was pretty tasty!
We walked around and got a photo or two of some cool buildings but then it got quite cold, so we went back to the apartment and did some travel research for future travels.
Curtis watched the Leafs game a little and then we had leftovers for dinner before making a 35 minute walk to the ice rink to watch some hockey!
We were lucky enough that Linda got us some great seats (and we are watching another 3 games too!) And we were right by the boards.
It was a great game to watch and a very close one, even including a fight!
The game went to overtime and then a shootout and the royals unfortunately lost.
Kim’s family friend got the rink to add a message on the jumbotron for us, which was a lovely surprise!
During the game, we saw Kim’s family friend and also a friend who is Canadian but we met in New Zealand!
We left the game, cold, and walked back to the apartment, but took a beautiful photo first.
We got back and watched a couple of TV episodes and then went to bed.
It says it may snow a little tomorrow!
