Place 49 – Day 105: Auckland – An Easter Surprise!

Kim’s Day;

Today Kim had a long shift and started at 10. Before work Kim popped to the shops to get curtis some breakfast and dinner before she started work. She also picked up some cheap easter eggs for herself and Curtis and mini Easter eggs for work too!

Kim arrived during breakfast and got herself set up for the day by planning who does what.

During we shift Kim had to ask a gentleman to leave because he was intoxicated and kept falling asleep.
I’m the evening a band was playing and it was such a lovely environment.
It was such a great shift today!

On the way home Kim stopped by countdown to grab some more cheap wafer choccies, three Lindt bunnies for our flatmate, curtis and herself!

Curtis’ Day;

Kim left for work and Curtis was left to sleep.

Curtis woke up at 09:45 and Kim informed him of a surprise she had left!

Curtis went to the kitchen and saw the Easter eggs and croissants Kim had left, which was a lovely surprise.

Curtis ate the croissants for breakfast whilst drinking a coffee.

Curtis didn’t do much for the rest of the day. He watched the Leafs play hockey from 12:00-15:00 and did laundry in between.

At 17:15, Curtis made his dinner, which he promptly burned.. We are pretty sure our oven is cursed!

Curtis ended up getting bored at around 21:00 and was just waiting for Kim to get home.

Both of us;

Kim got home and she came bearing gifts! Kim had bought some wine as well as chocolate bunnies and some chocolate fingers.

We had a big dessert with cake and chocolate paired with our wine whilst watching some Travel Man.

We now have two straight days together as Kim isn’t working and then Curtis is back to Wellington again next Tuesday!

This time last year!
