Place 49 – Day 39: Auckland – Client Onboarding pt 2 & Work Meeting

Kim woke up when Curtis did and was kind enough to make his lunch for him. She then went back to bed.

Kim’s Day;

Kim woke up with the intention of heading to her new work place for a little chat in the morning, it then got postponed until the afternoon.

This was great news because it meant that there was time for Kim to play a couple of games of Fortnite with her dad back in the UK before it got too late there! After this Kim played a few games with Ben.

Ben said he was up for some baking, so Kim checked out the ingredients and realised that they were a couple short so she popped to the shop while Ben went for a quick dip in the pool.

When Kim returned Ben no longer fancied doing to baking so Kim had some lunch and then did a bit of hoovering instead.

After all of this Kim did some reading of work manuals to assist with her upcoming job, it was very useful and interesting, but should make far more sense once she knows where everything is.

Kim headed into town and had an hours chat with her new boss, just going over some details of the upcoming job and Kim had some ideas to run by him. It was a good meeting.

When Kim got back, she repaired all of the veggies for tonights dinner, a lovely chilli!

Curtis’ Day;

Curtis got to work around 07:25 and then began reviewing his cases. He managed to either resolve or assign the cases accordingly, and then he could see what needed to be done.

Curtis had a call with the MD and discussed cases that needed to be done. He took some phone calls throughout the day and some were priorities so had to be looked into with some urgency.

Curtis had to hand over a lot of cases at 13:00 when he went to the client that he was at yesterday. He was at the client from 13:00 – 16:15 to continue with the migration of the machines.

Curtis drove home and got home in good time due to the lack of traffic, in comparison to how it was yesterday!

Both of us;

Curtis got home and played some Xbox after we each discussed our days.

We then had some dinner. Kim made a wonderful chilli con carne with rice.

We then sat and watched some TV (Peaky Blinders was the main show!).

We have a 3 day weekend this weekend as Monday is an Auckland holiday!

Poroporoaki!
